What the role is

You will be part of the Security & Resilience Department that is responsible for the security of and order in the House, the protocol and ceremonial functions of the Serjeant-at-Arms, and risk management and business continuity to sustain Parliament operations.

What you will be working on

Your core responsibilities will broadly cover the following: • Administer and manage the proper functioning and availability of security systems according to contract specifications and operational requirements • Monitor and co-ordinate with operations users and system vendors on maintenance and rectification works and minimize operational impact to security operations • Plan for and implement the development and enhancement of systems and services required to sustain security operations and protocol functions according to the prevailing assessment of the situation for the near-term and the future • Coordinate with stakeholders and external parties as the department’s point-of-contact to facilitate security operations and protocol functions in support of Parliament of Singapore • Perform other assigned duties and tasks of the Department, including Duty Officer overseeing routine security operations and the department’s administrative functions such as finance budget, procurement and contract management • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and projects as and when assigned

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in security, security systems or related fields, preferably in Home Team or military service • Good technical knowledge of security systems and knowledge of security principles, processes, and procedures. Knowledge in fire safety, business continuity or crisis management would be advantageous • Good writing and computer literacy skills • Possess strong and effective interpersonal and communications skills to engage officers at all level • Meticulous with a keen eye for details • Able to work independently as well as in teams • Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines • Only Singaporeans need apply Successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract in the first instance.
