What the role is

The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and administratively managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together. This 3- to 6- month internship offers an exciting opportunity to explore cutting-edge EdTech solutions and help shape the future of digital learning in the public sector.

What you will be working on

1. EdTech Research: • Conduct comprehensive research on AI-powered, adaptive, and personalised EdTech platforms and tools. • Analyse the efficiency and effectiveness of these existing solutions compared to in-house development. • Prepare reports and presentations summarising findings and recommendations. 2. User Research: • Conduct user research with public officers on wide ranging issues, including but not limited to learning needs and styles • Analyse data to identify patterns and insights that can inform tailored learning interventions. • Help develop personas and user journeys to enhance the relevance and impact of learning content 3. Strategic Partnership Support: • Support initiatives that facilitate cross-learning and sharing of best practices between public agencies 4. Any other duties as assigned

What we are looking for

• Strong interest in EdTech, AI, and pedagogical innovations. • Excellent research and analytical skills. • Ability to synthesise complex information and present it clearly. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Resourceful and able to work independently to get things done in a fast-paced environment • Strong work ethic in taking ownership and accountability • (Recommended) Currently pursuing a degree in Education, Computer Science, Data Analytics / Science, or a related field. • (Recommended) Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

About Ministry of Digital Development and Information

The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) drives Singapore’s digital development in four key domains — the economy, government, security, and society. MDDI oversees the development of the infocomm technology, cybersecurity, and media sectors; the Government’s digitalisation initiatives; and the national library, national archives, and public libraries. The Ministry is also responsible for effective public communications, and the Government’s information and public communication policies.
