What the role is

You will join a team in designing and implementing primary care healthcare financing policies that seek to ensure affordability for patients, while maintaining sustainability of our healthcare system. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

The work involves: • Conducting detailed analysis of patient profiles and needs, healthcare costs, adequacy of subvention and subsidy policies in primary and community care settings, particularly in the polyclinics. This aims to improve patient affordability; effectively shape the way care is delivered and how and where patients seek care. • Handling analysis of costing, utilisation, and billing datasets to strengthen policymaking. • Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage the process from developing and reviewing policies, to ensuring smooth implementation of changes through system optimisation, • In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop, review and implement financing policies that enable the transformation of Singapore’s primary care sector to anchor more chronic disease management and early intervention/preventive health services, under MOH’s Healthier SG strategy.
