As a Planning Officer in the Education Policy Branch in the Planning Division, you will play an active role in the formulation, review and implementation of key education policies and reforms to support MOE’s work in the general education space.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Formulate and review cross-cutting education policies, such as structuring of the education system (e.g. remaking secondary education), school governance, compulsory education, groups of interest (e.g. disadvantaged students), sector development (e.g. Pre-School, Special Education schools, Student Care Centres) and Language policies
• Engage and support Political Office Holders and Senior Management on key policy proposals and speeches, as well as staff key public and internal stakeholder communication platforms, such as the annual Committee of Supply Debate and Work Plan Seminar
• Collaborate with other Divisions and/ or agencies, to do ground-sensing, sense-making and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to inform policy recommendations
• Chart and coordinate Ministry-level strategic and corporate planning initiatives, while also working with other agencies to ensure whole-of-Government coherence
