What the role is

Project Title: Unlocking the Potential of Workers in SMEs

What you will be working on

The intern will conduct research to address challenges SMEs face in Singapore, and ways that SMEs can strengthen their workforce transformation capabilities to improve their productivity. This includes (a) reviewing international best practices to strengthen the capability of SMEs in developing the skills and careers of their workers, (b) analysing labour market data to identify gaps in training participation and skills development, (c) examining barriers SMEs face in transforming their workforce, and (d) synthesising insights to support policy recommendations. The internship provides exposure to the policymaking process, including research, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development. The scope may evolve with developments, ensuring meaningful and impactful work.
