The Strategy Group leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the Government’s strategic priorities. The National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) is part of the Strategy Group and is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing Singapore’s domestic and international policies and strategies to tackle climate change. As a member of NCCS’ Policy team, you will spearhead policies and strategies to advance and implement Singapore’s green transition towards net zero, and capture opportunities as we contribute to global climate action.

• Advance Singapore’s climate ambition and develop Singapore’s climate strategies, through careful consideration of synergies and trade-offs presented by our national circumstances, climate vulnerabilities, broader national goals, as well as global developments. • Work with agencies across the public service to drive the alignment and implementation of our climate strategies, to,enable coordinated action to reduce emissions, improve our climate resilience, and better position ourselves for a low-carbon economy. • Work with academia, industry, international counterparts, and other stakeholders to advance climate action, co-create our climate strategies, mobilise wider national participation, and advance Singapore’s interests in the international arena for climate action. • Examples of workstreams include planning and managing Singapore’s carbon budget, developing plans and strategies to enable key economic sectors to better adapt to a climate-impaired and low-carbon world, developing key economy-wide enablers (e.g. sustainability financing, data and disclosure) to support our climate goals. • Support the work of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Climate Change (IMCCC), its Executive Committee, and Working Groups.

Able to pick up new content quickly • Energised by the latitude to shape greenfield work • Strong analytical, quantitative and communications skills (verbal and written) • Good team player • Strong ability to collaborate, facilitate alignment, and develop win-win solutions with partner agencies • Skills in economic analysis and/or having an understanding of science and technology would be a plus.

The Strategy Group in the Prime Minister’s Office drives Whole-of-Government strategic planning, and partners government agencies on policy development. It identifies key priorities and emerging issues over the medium to long term, such as population and climate change; it influences strategic resource allocation; and catalyses new functions and capabilities in order to deliver policies that are in the long-term interest of Singapore.
