What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be expected to work closely with the JRC operator, users, technical specialists and other JTC staff to oversee, review, propose/implement continuous improvements so as to
1) Ensure that JRC operations and maintenance are optimized, cost effective and free of safety incidents
2) Ensure reliability and sustainability of the facilities that meets the needs of the end-users and also strive to achieve best-in-class for hydrocarbon storage and management
This will include but not limited to :
• Understand and monitor operational activities e.g. the import/export of crude oil into and out of storage caverns, jetty/ship operations and pipeline pigging
• Analyze operational data / trends to identify potential issues and propose solutions
• Manage JRC operator in the review of operational risk management such as equipment redundancy, spares strategies, predictive maintenance, critical equipment maintenance
• Manage the JRC operator against the service level agreement, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) resource optimisation and cost controls.
• Review cost proposals from JRC operators on maintenance and improvement works. Ensure JRC operator complies with JTC procurement processes.
• Understand the technical limitations of JRC’s design to store new feedstock / Evaluate any other requests by JRC users
• Evaluate and monitor the lifespan of JRC’s equipment and suggest modifications where applicable e.g. product pumps, automatic tank gauging system, flowmeters, mechanical ventilation system etc.
• Optimise and balance the extent of preventive maintenance required vs the reliability outcome vs cost requirement
• Provide timely advice and support to JTC management in matters of contract pertaining to end-users and operators
What we are looking for
Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. At least 2 years of relevant experience in refinery/plant maintenance in the oil & gas industry would be advantageous. Possess good interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Able to work effectively in a team.
