You will be working on Statutory Function projects as an Intern under the National Library division.

What you will be working on

  • Participate in the selection of the contributed heritage materials and add them into the collection of the National Library Singapore.
  • Research and write for heritage materials in the collection (e.g. orphan works found in the Legal Deposit).
  • Counter duties in the library, including weekends.
  • Conceptualise ways to engage public to contribute heritage materials (such as social media accounts, websites, photos, videos and others), including simple design works.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects/works associated with Statutory Function’s areas of works such as Web Archiving, Legal Deposit and others.  

What we are looking for

  • Background in a Humanities or Social Sciences related discipline preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken. 
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of digital content and online platforms.
  • Able to work independently and in teams.
  • Interest in digital preservation, collection work, research and writing, and contemporary Singapore history.
