You will be working on Statutory Function projects as an Intern under the National Library division.

What you will be working on

Participate in the selection of the contributed heritage materials and add them into the collection of the National Library Singapore.
Research and write for heritage materials in the collection (e.g. orphan works found in the Legal Deposit).
Counter duties in the library, including weekends.
Conceptualise ways to engage public to contribute heritage materials (such as social media accounts, websites, photos, videos and others), including simple design works.
Any other ad-hoc projects/works associated with Statutory Function’s areas of works such as Web Archiving, Legal Deposit and others.

What we are looking for

Background in a Humanities or Social Sciences related discipline preferred.
Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Good communication and writing skills.
Working knowledge of digital content and online platforms.
Able to work independently and in teams.
Interest in digital preservation, collection work, research and writing, and contemporary Singapore history.
