Collection condition surveys are semi-quantitative, systematic data gathering approach that gives a general overview of the condition of collections. In NAS, a number of collections have been identified as key collections. The intern will work on a key collection with the conservators, generating data for preventive conservation and collection management planning.This seeks to proactively arrest issues with our collections before they escalate into bigger problems.
