What the role is
What you will be working on
Your job scope includes media monitoring and sensing, providing strategic communications and inputs to policies and issues, as well as developing communications plans for announcements. You will also manage the Department’s corporate communication function, including marketing and branding, mainstream media and social media engagements and support the Director in stakeholder engagements as well as any other projects and duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
• Background in mass communications, journalism, marketing communications or a related field
• Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills with ability to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders including vendors
• Ability to liaise with Malay-speaking residents
• Good knowledge of local and foreign media
• Keen interest in current affairs, emerging trends and issues especially those relating to Malay/Muslim matters in the context of Singapore’s multi-racial and multi religious society
• A team player who is able to work well under pressure
• Willing to work irregular hours including on weekends and public holidays
