Join our Spring Buds Programme, an intern development programme, under the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) of the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore! As a key division within MOM, the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) works tirelessly to promote workplace safety and health through legislation, policies, capability building, enforcement and engagement programmes. Our goal is to create safe and healthy workplaces for everyone, establishing Singapore as a country renowned for best practices in Workplace Safety and Health. What We Offer • Comprehensive Internship Experience: Curated internship to gain exposure to various subunits within OSHD, including the OSH Policy, Information, and Corporate Services, OSH Inspectorate, OSH Specialist, Work Injury Compensation, Major Hazards, and Workplace Safety and Health Institute. • Hands-On Projects: Engage in real-world projects that contribute to national-level safety initiatives and support the WSH 2028 strategy. • Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field who are committed to your professional growth. • Networking Opportunities: Interact with senior management and industry leaders through presentations and events. • Career Pathway: Successful interns may be invited for an interview for a full-time position within OSHD upon completion of the internship, with potential placement in the MOM Leadership Development Programme.

What you will be working on

• Develop Safety Strategies: Assist in creating and implementing innovative workplace safety strategies that align with OSHD's mission. • Research Emerging Trends: Participate in research projects focused on identifying emerging trends and risks in workplace safety and health. • Data Analysis Support: Analyse workplace accident data to contribute to the development of preventive measures aimed at reducing incidents. • Collaborative Initiatives: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams on various OSHD initiatives to foster a culture of safety across industries. • Guideline Development: Contribute to the formulation of safety guidelines and best practices that enhance workplace safety standards.

What we are looking for

• Domain Knowledge: Possesses strong domain knowledge in engineering, providing a solid foundation for technical understanding and decision-making • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams. • Passion for Safety: A genuine interest in promoting workplace safety and health practices. • Innovative Mindset: Eagerness to learn and contribute fresh ideas to improve occupational safety initiatives. Duration 3-6 months (flexible based on your academic schedule).
