In this role, you will join the Preparedness & Resilience team under the Joint Operations Division which is responsible for developing the Ministry’s preparedness plans for various contingency situations. You will mainly be responsible for developing plans and materials that affect the resilience of the workforce of Singapore by analysing data, engaging agencies and making suitable recommendations to strengthen Singapore’s overall manpower resilience across sectors. You will also help strengthen MOM’s own crisis plans so that MOM is prepared to deal with any crisis that may happen.

What the role is
What you will be working on
To study the manpower resilience of various government agencies and their respective critical / essential firms, and work with the respective agencies to develop their manpower resilience plans. This will involve regular engagement of the government agencies to understand their ecosystem and corresponding manpower resilience
• Regular engagement of government agencies to study and analyse both their own manpower resilience and that of their respective sectors.
• Present findings relating to manpower vulnerabilities and resilience by sectors.
• Collaborate with respective agencies to develop their manpower resilience plans for their sectors and strengthen their manpower resilience.
In terms of strengthening MOM’s crisis plans, the officer will need to
• Identify key risks facing MOM to develop MOM’s contingency plans, as well as command and control structures/systems to manage crisis and national emergency
• Work with departments to facilitate the formulation of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to address new threats
What we are looking for
• Experience in industry engagement and emergency preparedness work would be a bonus.
• Positive individual with ability to build good relationships with respective stakeholders, and able to write and present well.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze data.
• Ability to be resilient under pressure especially in times of crises.
