What the role is
What you will be working on
You will need to work with relevant government agencies, stakeholders and external consultants and contractors to enhance the security and resilience of critical infrastructure.
The job holder is expected to work closely with stakeholders from other Ministries, external consultants and contractors, as well as MDDI divisions. This officer should have strong stakeholder engagement skills, write well and understand operational needs.
a) Manage infrastructure development projects to meet regulatory and operational requirements e.g. Security-By-Design to ensure infrastructural resilience
b) Work with multi-disciplinary team to engage government agencies and MDDI divisions to ensure building design and physical performance meet operational requirements
c) Manage the day-to-day project issues and to communicate project updates to stakeholders and management
d) Work with procurement, legal and finance departments to manage construction related contracts, cashflow and budget
e) Perform secretariat duties for inter-agency meetings (including recording of notes of meetings)
f) Implement Knowledge Management practices to archive past project information and facilitate knowledge sharing
What we are looking for
• Background preferably specialisation in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
• At least two years’ experience in engineering project development or related position in the government and construction sector
• Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, relevant rules and regulations and quality standards
• Preferred experience in projects that has implemented Security-By-Design under Infrastructure Protection Act
