What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee projects and initiatives to improve after-death facilities and services including conceptualising new ideas, developing project scopes and objectives, conducting market research or analysis, and engaging the industry to understand the supplier landscape.
- Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities including drafting, calling, evaluating and award of tenders and quotations while adhering to the key principles and guidelines of Government Procurement.
- Coordinate with operations team to draft project scopes, establish requirement specifications, plan timelines and prepare documents for procurement.
- Review procurement processes such as streamlining workflows and strengthen procurement capability of the division.
- Analyse and draft user requirements for systems enhancements and introduction of new digital services, which aim to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery experience. Liaise and work with Information Technology Division and systems vendor to ensure that systems enhancement or projects are aligned with user requirements, including the facilitating and conducting of User Acceptance Testing.
- Prepare service requests for data patching and extraction.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in planning, procurement or systems work. Experience in the public sector will be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
