The roles of the job holder(s) within the Home Team Psychology Division (HTPD), is related to Emergency and Crisis Response research.

The job holder is required to: 1. Conduct research related to emergency and crisis response, with a focus on and not limited to: a. Impact of terror-related incident on individuals and communities b. Effective and relevant mental health responses and strategies at various levels for individuals and communities c. Effective and relevant mental health responses and strategies at various levels for emergency response officers and law enforcement officers d. Cultural and community implications and considerations e. Impact on and needs of special or vulnerable populations f. Impact on crisis leaders’ decision making and leading teams g. Comparisons of models and intervention strategies adopted by different countries in post terror recovery. h. Best practices to be adopted by mental health practitioners and professionals when doing emergency and crisis response work 2. Develop relevant resources, reports, products, programmes, and training syllabus and materials to train Home Team psychologists and community partners. 3. Conduct trainings, briefings and sharings to management, partners, Home Team officers and community 4. Plan and implement research process independently or in partnership with stakeholders and service providers 5. Assist in working with stakeholders in areas related to research conceptualization, approval, amendments, and implementation to comprehensively meet their interests 6. Support all administrative submissions related to budgeting, procurement, data and materials management 7. Assist in liaising with service providers in areas related to procurement process, research project management, auditing and monitoring, and ethical research standards compliance 8. Work closely with other staff in the production of effective research products, resources, toolkits, education materials and other forms of packages that caters to different audience type (e.g., infographics, brief reports, technical reports, PowerPoint slides, podcasts, etc) 9. Communicate research progress and findings in written or oral presentation format to a variety of audience 10. Ensure proper handling of research data and process that complies with standards of research ethics 11. Work closely with research vendor to ensure deliverables in analysis, findings, reports, presentations, and any other materials are fulfilled In addition, the job holder will be required to support the team in other ad-hoc projects under HTPD.

• Relevant training and experience in general and/or applied psychology • Knowledge of psychometrics and study design methodology • Strong research and statistical skills • Strong task and time management skills It is also pertinent that the job holder to possess the following qualities: • Be a good team player in supporting various taskings related to the programmes and any other ad-hoc taskings. • Possess good organization skills to support the staffing of meetings for various workstreams within the programmes • Have keen eye for details • Strong people relation skills • Independent and takes initiatives to support and check in with peers and supervisors • Creatively generate relevant and effective solutions • Strong verbal and written communication skills Note: this is a contract role.
