What the role is

The roles of the job holder(s) within the Crime & Forensic Psychology (CFP) branch of Home Team Psychology Division (HTPD), is related to Scams research and projects.

What you will be working on

The job holder is required to: 1. Assist to plan, conceptualise, and design the research methodology, and research questions related to the scams research agenda 2. Assist to plan, conceptualise and organize anti-scam related seminars, research roundtables and campaigns 3. Plan and implement research process independently or in partnership with stakeholders and service providers 4. Assist in working with stakeholders in areas related to research conceptualization, approval, amendments, and implementation to comprehensively meet their interests 5. Support all administrative submissions related to budgeting, procurement, data and materials management 6. Assist in liaising with service providers in areas related to procurement process, research project management, auditing and monitoring, and ethical research standards compliance 7. Assist to lead and supervise research analysts in the production of effective research products that caters to different audience type (e.g., infographics, brief reports, technical reports, PowerPoint slides, podcasts, etc) 8. Communicate research progress and findings in written or oral presentation format to a variety of audience 9. Ensure proper handling of research data and process that complies with standards of research ethics • Work closely with research vendor to ensure deliverables in analysis, findings, reports, presentations, and any other materials are fulfilled In addition, the job holder will be required to support the team in other projects under the CFP and HTPD.

What we are looking for

• Relevant training and experience in general and/or applied psychology • Knowledge of psychometrics and study design methodology • Strong research and statistical skills • Strong task and time management skills It is also necessary for the job holder to possess the following: • Be a good team player in supporting various taskings related to the programmes and any other ad-hoc taskings. • Possess good organization skills to support the staffing of meetings for various workstreams within the programmes • Have keen eye for details • Strong people relation skills • Independent and takes initiatives to support and check in with peers and supervisors • Creatively generate relevant and effective solutions • Strong verbal and written communication skills Note: this is a contract role.
