The incumbent will analyses the IPC surveillance and HCE data and submit timely presentations and reports to NIPC. This will allow timely interventions to reduce HAI, AMR and improve outbreak control measures in PHI.

Data collection methods and training
1. Implement the planning, designing, and developing data collection forms on REDCap or other suitable platforms to conduct IPC surveillance and HCE work
• Engage with IPC surveillance and HCE colleagues and reading protocols thoroughly to create efficient, and user-friendly data collection forms on REDCap or other platforms
2. Develop and maintain training materials and work flows for IPC surveillance and HCE works such as PowerPoints and excels for standardized data collection
• Conduct training sessions for data collectors to ensure accurate and standardized data collection for IPC surveillance and HCE works
• Develop formal assessment protocols (e.g., pilot survey) before the commencement of the survey
• Analyse the formal assessment data from pilot survey and providing recommendation to IPC surveillance and HCE unit
3. Develop quality assessment protocol for IPC surveillance and HCE data
• Identify the unusual or outlier data and providing feedback to the relevant Units
• Develop protocols on how to identify the unusual or outlier data and provide feedback to the relevant Units
4. Write surveillance protocols for IPC surveillance
Analytics, presentations, and reports
1. Analyse the IPC surveillance data, HCE data and infectious diseases research data
• Summarize baseline characteristics, and main outcome data in a manner that is useful and relevant for IPC professionals
• Develop and apply statistical models to analyse the IPC surveillance data, HCE data and infection diseases research data to answer specific questions using statistical software preferably R program
• Assist the team with synthesizing the data from scoping and systematic reviews as required
2. Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations to communicate the findings from data analysis to the stakeholders
• Prepare multiple PowerPoint presentations tailored to different audiences for effective communication of findings and insights
• Create clear and concise data visualizations using appropriate charts and tables using excel or software
• Draft the IPC and HCE reports that are concise and coherent and submitting the draft to Head-1 for reviewing
• Format the manuscripts according to MOH guidelines/journal guidelines to ensure compliance with submission requirements and, in the case of research manuscripts, alignment with publishing standards
• Provide data analysis support as required by NICHE division
Coordination and administration
1. Monitor and track all projects and their deadlines, ensuring timely completion and report on whether the deadlines are met
2. Organize and maintain the structure of data analysis files and folders on the shared drive, ensuring all files are systematically arranged and easily accessible
3. Keep the detailed records of the discussions made on each project, ensuring that notes are organized for easy reference and re-exploration
4. Coordinate data and sample collection for HCE investigations during seasonal surge in outbreaks
What we are looking for
At least a Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years experience working with large datasets and performing advanced biostatistical analyses using software preferably R
• Experience in manuscript writing and preparing presentations
• Proficiency in statistical methods and software preferably R to perform complex data analyses
• Competence in handling, cleaning, and organizing large datasets effectively
• Skilfully integrates data analysis results into reports and presentations, ensuring that the key findings are clearly communicated
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured reports, manuscripts, and presentations tailored to different audiences
• Exhibits curiosity in exploring new ideas, tools, and techniques to enhance the data analysis
