The Gambling Safeguards Division (GS) administers gambling social safeguards and funds preventive and rehabilitative programmes for problem gamblers and their families. We are also Secretariat to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).

What the role is
What you will be working on
Brief description of Job Scope:
You will be part of a team that administers the NCPG social safeguards to protect the vulnerable from problem gambling. Your role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the IT system supporting case management is in keeping with needs. You will also play a key role in improving work processes and service experiences for users through system enhancements. To be successful in these roles, you should be inquisitive, analytical, and meticulous.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day monitoring of system jobs and ensure prompt recovery from any IT system outage
• Manage and review system access rights in accordance with the IT guidelines and policies
• Review work processes and translate feedback gathered from stakeholders into user requirements for vendor’s assessment
• Review requirement specifications of system enhancements and participate in user acceptance tests to ensure that the user requirements are met
• Support deployment and maintenance activities of system
• Analysing operational data for reporting and to facilitate the making of strategic and operational decisions
What we are looking for
Competencies Required:
• Tertiary qualification preferably with a good understanding of social service sector in the Singapore context and interest in Information Technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
• Strong communication skills; able to establish good collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in data analytics and machine learning
• Experience in management of IT vendors and projects will be an advantage
