What the role is

The selected officer will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of administration and operation at District East / West mosques by the District Office.

What you will be working on


Policy Compliance

  • Ensure mosques (staff and Mosque Management Board (MMB)) complies to the terms stated in the 7 policy guidelines namely, MMB Governance Manual, Mosque HR Policy, Mosque Financial Regulation, Dakwah Guidelines, Emergency Preparedness (EP) Framework Guidelines, Fundraising License Application (FLA), Building Works Application (BWA) Guidebook and other statutory regulations.
  • Facilitate data / information submissions by mosques.
  • Enforce mosque submission and compliance with the internal/ external audits timeline.
  • Process permits, license application, budget approvals, screening of new officers, promotion of Mosque Managers in District East / West mosques.


Support and Advisory

  • Facilitate guidance on policy compliance matters and/or mosque operational matters.
  • Coordination with PolicyFutures@OneMosqueSector (PFM) on matters needing guidelines beyond the District Approval/ Facilitation Level
  • Ensure timely sharing of PFM circulars and offer support for implementation where necessary.
  • Supervise implementation of policy initiatives


Capability Development

  • Source/organise/coordinate training/District programmes for both staff and MMBs
  • Conduct workshops/ strategic planning retreats
  • Coordinate meetings & briefing with both mosque staff and MMBs
  • Coordinate specialised professional training for staff i.e. Finance/ HR/ Operations
  • Coordinate Mosque HR Cluster Panel implementations, including common salary guidelines, revised performance appraisals and flexible work arrangement requests
  • Address MMB and Staff grievance in relation to WPH and FWAR
  • Conduct annual climate survey for mosque officers


Other Duties 

  • Coordinate MMB appointment exercise from application to appointment
  • Coordinate MMB capacity building and leadership training
  • Coordinate and monitor District budget
  • Provide Secretariat Support for District Council Meetings
  • Organise annual workplans/3-year Mosque Leaders retreat for District Office and District Facilitators
  • Procurement and disbursement and monitoring of OurMasjidSG funds at District
  • Support and guide the mosques in crisis management and resolution
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement visits between mosques and Muis Senior Management

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary education in any field with more than 2 years working experience
  • Suitable people relationship/management and communication skills
  • Able to work outside of office hours
  • Possesses good problem-solving and crisis management skills


There are two vacancies available for this post and successful candidate/s will be appointed on contract basis.
