This role supports inclusive whole-of-government public communications efforts through quality vernacular translations and raising translation standard in government communications to better inform, connect and engage citizens, helping to engender trust in Government and ensuring that our multilingual community stays well-informed.

Responsibilities: - Support Whole-of-Government national initiatives and public communications efforts by producing quality translated communications materials in English and Tamil - Provide secretariat support to the National Translation Committee (NTC) by implementing its initiatives

- Effectively bilingual in the English and Tamil languages - Possess at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in translation or communications/language- related field - Knowledgeable about current affairs - Able to adapt to a dynamic environment with good critical thinking skills - Experience in project management and leading a project team - Experience in performing secretariat duties is an advantage - Familiarity with translation technologies, including but not limited to Translation Management Systems and related computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and use of GenAI in translation, is an advantage - Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
