What the role is
What you will be working on
Responsibilities:
- Support Whole-of-Government national initiatives and public communications efforts by producing quality translated communications materials in English and Tamil
- Provide secretariat support to the National Translation Committee (NTC) by implementing its initiatives
What we are looking for
- Effectively bilingual in the English and Tamil languages
- Possess at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in translation or communications/language- related field
- Knowledgeable about current affairs
- Able to adapt to a dynamic environment with good critical thinking skills
- Experience in project management and leading a project team
- Experience in performing secretariat duties is an advantage
- Familiarity with translation technologies, including but not limited to Translation Management Systems and related computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and use of GenAI in translation, is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint
