What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Analysis of Healthcare Service Utilization:
• Apply data science and econometrics techniques to meticulously understand and provide actionable insights into healthcare utilization patterns.
• Collaborate closely with policy, cluster, and research partners to harness their domain expertise, elevating the depth and precision of our analysis.
2. Monitoring, Projections, and Optimization of Healthcare Services:
• Conduct in-depth assessment of healthcare operations and resource needs
• Employ data science techniques to continually monitor, project, and optimize patient demand and healthcare supplies.
• Systematically validate and review methods, ensuring ongoing refinement and alignment with emerging best practices.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and reporting framework, providing timely updates to key stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Key Competencies Required:
• Degree, preferably in Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science or Business Analytics
• Proficient in a scientific computing language (such as R, Python or Stata)
• Proven experience applying data science or econometrics techniques to healthcare analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with policy, cluster, and research partners.
• Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities.
