What the role is

As an Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) and Intellectual Propery (IP) Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and maximizing the value of our organization's intellectual property (IP) portfolio. You will also oversee the independent evaluation of our organization's performance, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

What you will be working on

Intellectual Property:

  • IP Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive IP strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
  • Patent Portfolio Management: Manage the organization's patent portfolio, including filing, prosecution, and licensing.
  • Trademark Protection: Protect the organization's trademarks and brand identity.
  • Copyright Enforcement: Enforce copyright rights and protect the organization's creative works.
  • IP Licensing: Negotiate and manage IP licensing agreements to generate revenue and strategic partnerships.
  • IP Due Diligence: Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

Independent Evaluation:

  • Evaluation Planning: Develop annual evaluation plans, including the selection of topics and methodologies.
  • Evaluation Execution: Oversee the conduct of evaluations, including data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and independence of evaluation work.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including management, staff, and external partners.
  • Dissemination of Findings: Communicate evaluation findings to relevant stakeholders and promote the use of lessons learned.

What we are looking for

  • Suitable credential in law, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Experience in managing IP portfolios and licensing agreements.
  • Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
