What the role is
What you will be working on
The intern will assist in researching, monitoring and analysing the US international economic priorities, focusing on policy developments, global economic strategies and responses from other countries.
• Research and analyse the key international economic priorities of the new administration, including trade and investment, energy, digital and technology
• Monitor and track developments (e.g. tariffs, policies, implementation details)
• Monitor and evaluate reactions of other countries’, including diplomatic statements, trade adjustments, and policy shifts.
• Identify opportunities or challenges based on the priorities and international reactions.
• Prepare summaries, briefs and presentations on key developments, trends and opportunities.
• Assist in organising data, preparing documentation, and supporting engagement efforts.
What we are looking for
Candidates in a relevant field of study (Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or related disciplines) with excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal) skills are preferred.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with ability to synthesize complex information
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in international affairs and economics
