You support the section to design, develop and implement the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s Governance and Compliance (G&C) System including structures, policies and processes. You also ensure the system set-up is robust and applying systemic interventions to address gaps that meet all of the RSN's governance and compliance requirements while upholding accountabilities and ensuring resource prudency.

What you will be working on
- Provide support for audits, reviews and self-checks across the RSN operations
- Undertake projects and drive initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in the RSN G&C System
- Apply rigorous analysis and critical thinking for governance matters to design effective solutions that eliminate and manage risks
- Execute audit support by comprehending context of audit findings and framing responses that represent units fairly and ensure no residual risks
- Manage stakeholders proactively to ensure audit responses and supporting documents are submitted timely through careful planning
- Review policies and processes to recognise gaps and weaknesses in both prescribed and implemented procedures
Challenge(s)
- Working in fast-paced environment with steep learning curve while managing unstructured and ad hoc work nature
- Being conversant with policy intents and how ground implements processes
- Understanding inter-relationships across all Governance and Compliance domains
What we are looking for
- Education in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Engineering, Human Resource, Logistics, Economics or a related field
- At least 2 years working experience is preferred
- Risk management skills including risk identification, analysis and mitigation
- Good writing skills
- Internal auditing abilities for process checks and verification
- Analytical and reporting skills with critical thinking and data storytelling capabilities
- Ability to plan well, manage time properly and build networks to work expeditiously
