The Internal Audit Unit (IAU) in KidStart Singapore (KSL) is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance and consulting services to management. The IAU helps KSL accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The IAU's main responsibilities include planning and conducting internal audits, and providing advisory services. Internal audits are conducted to assess the adequacy and
effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and procedures, and the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information. You will assist Assistant Director/IAU by working with the KSL Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and Management to improve governance, risk management and streamline processes for greater operational effectiveness and efficiency. You will be assigned to KSL.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Plan and conduct internal audits in accordance with the approved annual work plan to ensure key controls are addressed and audits are completed on time.
• Identify root cause and the risk implication of audit observations and lead the communications with various stakeholders in identifying relevant audit recommendations.
• Evaluate corporate governance, risk management and control processes, taking into consideration sector best practices and legal/regulatory requirements.
• Follow-up with divisions to ensure timely closure of recommendations from past audits conducted by internal audit.
• Assist in assurance, consulting engagements and investigations in conformance with ethical and professional standards.
• Assist Head / IAU in administrative matters for IAU and ARC such as preparing requests for proposal and managing procurement process for IAU’s outsourced audits and be part of secretariat team staffing ARC.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff as needed
• Any other duties as assigned

• Good working knowledge and understanding of risk assessment, internal controls, adoption of data analytics and visualization tools
• Strong analytical skills, resourceful and meticulous
• Good communication, leadership, interpersonal skills and able to interact with management at all levels
