What the role is
What you will be working on
Work closely with a cross-functional AI development project team including data scientists and development engineers in an agile way, first to develop a database of infringement reports, evidence and the assessment of evidence which will be used to train the AI model, and later to develop and refine the product.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the AI system in assessing evidence and recommending a prosecutorial decision.
Assessing infringement reports to determine the appropriate enforcement actions and make charging decisions.
Conducting mentions and pre-trial conferences at the State Courts.
Providing legal advice to enforcement divisions in relation to investigation and enforcement matters.
Reviewing and crafting enforcement policies pertaining to MPA’s regulatory regime.
What we are looking for
Possess a relevant discipline in law and be eligible to be called to the Singapore Bar. A strong interest in the use of technology and data science to transform legal practice. One or more years of experience advising on criminal law matters or in prosecution work. Strong understanding of laws, legal principles and policies related to criminal law and regulatory enforcement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
