What the role is

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) aspires to be a world-class organisation in delivering safety and security for our people. The INVEST Fund is a superannuation plan constituted under the laws of Singapore and established under the Home Affairs Uniformed Services Superannuation Act 2001. The jobholder manages the INVEST payouts, including the Service Injury allowances and Post-Retirement Medical Benefits of the eligible officers who retired from service.

What you will be working on

i. Service Injury and Post-Retirement Medical Benefits a. Maintain records on INVEST retirees who are receiving service injury allowances and reconcile payments monthly. b. Ensure eligible INVEST retirees’ records are created in the system and the medical entitlements are correct in both the WOG Human Resource and Payroll system, and the Pro-rated system. c. Reconcile medical bills payment and raise accounting journal to record the transactions in the Government Financial System. d. Manage medical recoveries from INVEST retirees on the co-payment portion. e. Send reminder letters and liaise with INVEST retirees on outstanding medical recoveries. f. Involve in the engagement and communication with INVEST retirees g. Develop and implement innovative solutions for streamlining of processes and automations. ii. INVEST Payouts a. Check INVEST contributions and returns of INVEST accounts. b. Process INVEST payouts timely and accurately. c. Raise accounting journals to record INVEST payouts in the Government Financial System. d. Work closely with Home Team Departments and Human Resource Shared Centre in processing the INVEST payouts. e. Involve in communication with INVEST members. iii. Provide admin support for meetings and other ad-hoc projects.

What we are looking for

We are looking for highly motivated individual with the following experience and qualifications: • Strong knowledge and confidence in the use of spreadsheets. • Comfortable in dealing with numbers. • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and work with a wide range of stakeholders. • Some system knowledge and use of Robotic Process Automation software. • A dedicated team player. • Meticulous with an eye for detail.
