What the role is
What you will be working on
You will need to assist in the day-to-day operations of the POCC (with a focus on manpower planning), including:
a) Managing of staff roster planning and deployment
b) Verifying staff attendance records
c) Managing staff leave forecast
d) Ensuring that all operational consoles in POCCs are manned
e) Verifying allowances for staff payroll
f) Ensuring that leave records in the Workforce Management System (WMS) is correctly reflected in the Cumulus Workday System
You will be co-ordinating the in-house/external courses for VTM Staff, while ensuring that POCC operational needs are met.
You will also assist in providing administrative and logistic support during staff engagement activities, meetings, exercises and marine emergencies.

As the responsibilities require much interaction with both external and internal stakeholders, candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good writing and critical thinking skills.
In this fast-paced job, candidate should have good time management skills and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Given the dynamic nature of the role, candidate should also be able to work independently and be willing to attend to occasional operational exigencies after office hours.
Previous work experience in manpower planning and roster management will be an advantage.
