What the role is

You will be a member of the ECDA Professional Development and Standards (PDS) department which oversees frameworks and programmes related to the training and professional development of early childhood (EC) and Early Intervention (EI) educators as well as those related to the EC/EI curriculum. To this end, PDS works closely with various partners to develop and implement initiatives to strengthen the quality of EC/EI professionals as well as the curriculum in the sector. By doing so, PDS aims to uplift the quality of the Early Childhood Care and Education sector, to realise the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA)’s vision of giving every child a good start.

What you will be working on

• Implementing PD initiatives to support leaders, and educators strengthen their competencies • Building on the PD-related and curriculum-related frameworks and initiatives (e.g. Skills Framework, Continuing Professional Development Roadmap, Early Years Development Framework, Nurturing Early Learners Framework, Leadership Development Framework) to plan and implement related work streams • Working on the roll-out of sector-wide initiatives that involves development of new programme resources • Collaborating with preschools/operators, government agencies, partners and various stakeholders to enhance the capability and capacity of EC/EI professionals • Assisting in budget management, finance processes, administrative work including data collation and analysis related to the programmes and event planning (ad-hoc)

What we are looking for

• Experience in EI and/or Inclusive Practice would be preferred • Has experience in education-related /PD work, (e.g. policy and design of teacher training, staff development programmes) • Has strong analytical thinking and data management skills • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills • A self-motivated team player with strong project management skills
