What the role is
What you will be working on
As a member of the LTA Fare System team, you will manage projects to set up and renew Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems for new and existing rail lines.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Gather requirements from all stakeholders and develop tender document.
• Review design submissions to ensure alignment with project specification and standards.
• Oversee vendor deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to the required quality standards.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues throughout project implementation.
• Participate in on-site activities including testing and commissioning to ensure smooth integration and operation of AFC systems.
• Monitor and perform regular performance assessments of AFC systems after implementation.
• Support the planning and implementation of asset renewal initiative for existing AFC systems.
• Coordinate internal and external team to drive project milestones and deliverables.

What we are looking for
• Background knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics/ Computer/ Industrial and Systems Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management of electro-mechanical and/or IT systems. Those with greater years of experience may be considered for higher appointment.
• Independent, resourceful, and agile.
• Ability to organize, plan and supervise project activities through active site participation.
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong aptitude and willingness to learn the technical knowledge of AFC systems.
• Clear thinking and demonstrate ability to lead a small team of technical/site project staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience in asset renewal, such as electronic module replacement and sustainability, may be preferred.
