The Strategy and Plans team plays an integral role in shaping the future of GovTech. We work closely with the CEO and his leadership team to shape GovTech’s long-term vision, develop strategies, and drive critical initiatives across the organization.

The Senior Manager / Manager, Strategic Planning role offers the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view on GovTech’s strategy, working with key organizational leaders. Your team will drive critical projects that make a lasting impact on the future of GovTech.

You are a driven problem-solver, who thrives in a dynamic environment. You'll shape GovTech's strategy, translating vision into actionable plans.

As you grow in the role, you will coach junior team members in your area(s) of expertise.

What you will be working on

  • Shaping long-term strategy: Develop and implement organizational vision, transformation plans, and metrics. This includes prioritising issues, allocating resources, and tracking cross-departmental progress
     
  • Managing projects: Own moderately complex projects end-to-end. Proactively drive next steps to keep project workstreams on track
     
  • Communicating strategy: Develop clear strategic initiatives and workstreams, presenting them clearly both orally and in writing (slides or written prose)
     
  • Collaborating cross-functionally: Influence diverse stakeholders, building trust-based relationships to drive initiatives to successful, on-time and on-budget outcomes

 

What we are looking for

  • 5-9 years of experience within a Singapore government ministry, with 2-3 years of exposure to strategy planning-related areas
     
  • Experience with strategic planning within government – preferably end to end perspectives (from vision to implementation)
     
  • Strategic lens: Able to see the big picture quickly, particularly in government contexts; understanding different initiatives fit together
     
  • Strong communicator: Able to distil complex ideas into clear strategies verbally and in writing
     
  • Self-starter: Independent with high ownership, driving towards timely and impactful outcomes
     
  • Adaptable: Comfortable with ambiguity; pro-active in seizing opportunities in a dynamic environment​
