What the role is
What you will be working on
- Oversee and manage the operational budget
- Ensure accurate financial records and proper closure of accounts at the end of each financial year
- Take charge of the financial management system (NGPS) and coordinate the appointment of financial officers in relevant systems
- Provide guidance and support to financial officers on purchasing and payment processes
- Act as secretariat and organise and manage meetings, prepare necessary documents and record minutes
- Assist in various contract-related tasks, such as communicating with relevant parties about renewing contracts and assisting with contract reviews
- Serve as Point Of Contact (POC) for audit projects
- Manage a finance executive and assist in managing Full-Time National Servicemen (NSFs) assigned to the branch
- Responding to and dealing with queries from various stakeholders effectively while handling sensitive information tactfully
- Working independently with multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with finance and procurement/contracts guidelines and principles
What we are looking for
- Education in Finance, Economics or Accounting is preferred
- Experience in procurement or contract management is advantageous
- Thorough understanding of finance, contract, and procurement guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
