What the role is
What you will be working on
The job description of an SEE at Tuas Marine Transfer Station (TMTS) are as follows:
To supervise resident contractor in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of spreading excavators and mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment at TMTS such as diesel generator, dust suppression system, air-conditioning and ventilation system, switchgears, fire-fighting system, etc., to ensure they are properly operated, regularly maintained with high performance and availability at all times.
To supervise resident contractors on the housekeeping at Transfer building.
To supervise waste receiving and barging operation at TMTS.
To supervise collection of waste samples for laboratory analysis.
To monitor stock level, plan and call small value purchase/quotation to replenish spare parts and technical/engineering services for M&E equipment, building maintenance and operation contracts. To supervise the contractors in carrying out their work/services and administer the contract.
To conduct regular inspection and maintenance of wharves facilities and procurement of wharves related spare parts.
Safety coordination for waste receiving and barging operation and maintenance work
Prepare waste receiving/disposal data, statistics as well as daily and monthly report.
To perform any other works, duties and responsibilities assigned.
What we are looking for
At least a polytechnic diploma in mechanical, electrical, electrical & electronic or mechatronic engineering. ITE with more than 5 years of experience will be considered.
Experience in the O & M of mechanical, electrical, wharves facilities spreading excavators and procurement of spare parts and services will be preferred.
Good leadership quality/supervisory skills. Able to lead and supervise technical staff, skilled workmen and operators in the O&M of M&E equipment, heavy plants, or complex process equipment.
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to work in harsh environment/conditions.
Able to work during weekends on rotating shift basis.
