
Assistant Manager / Manager (Resource Planning Section)

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
- Review and formulate policy and operational strategies
- Oversee projects and initiatives to improve after-death facilities and services including conceptualising new ideas, developing project scopes and objectives, conducting market research or analysis, and engaging the industry to understand the supplier landscape
- Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities including drafting of requirements and tender documents, calling, evaluation and award of tenders and quotations while adhering to the key principles and guidelines of Government Procurement.
- Plan and track budget, perform variance analyses, and ensure expenditure aligns with approved allocation
- Oversee land and building assets including evaluation and assessment of temporary occupation licenses and records keeping in accordance with guidelines
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in planning, procurement or policy work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
