What the role is

The National AI Group (NAIG) is responsible for the development and implementation of our National AI Strategy (NAIS). It brings together government, industry, and research stakeholders to implement National AI Projects in key sectors in Singapore and builds AI ecosystem enablers in a deliberate manner to anchor AI development and deployment in Singapore. In addition to its responsibility to implement the NAIS, NAIG facilitates and drives collaborations with industry and R&D players to build up AI capabilities within the Singapore Government.

What you will be working on

If you have a genuine interest in AI, technology, or community-building initiatives, join us! You will support the activities below: 1) Operational Support a) Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Lorong AI co-working hub, including onboarding participants, managing hot desks and maintaining the physical space. b) Coordinate logistics for events and other community programming. 2) Community Engagement a) Serve as a point of contact for Lorong AI members, addressing inquiries and fostering a positive and collaborative community environment. b) Facilitate interactions among community members through programming and activities. 3) Event Management a) Plan and execute events, including scheduling, speaker coordination, and ensuring smooth on-the-ground operations. b) Support setup and teardown for events and workshops. 4) Administrative Tasks a) Track and report attendance, participation, and feedback for all programming. b) Maintain records related to membership utilization, program outcomes, and operational costs. c) Support the preparation of reports to evaluate the pilot’s progress and impact. 5) Marketing and Outreach a) Support outreach efforts to attract participants and promote Lorong AI activities. b) Assist with communications, such as drafting emails, social media posts, and event announcements. 6) Data Collection and Reporting a) Collect and compile data on membership, space utilization, and program impact. b) Support the development of insights and recommendations for the project’s long-term planning.

What we are looking for

• Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse community of AI practitioners and stakeholders. • Proficiency in administrative tools such as Excel, or similar platforms for tracking and reporting. • A proactive and resourceful mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks independently. • Attention to detail to ensure smooth execution of operations and events. • A positive attitude and willingness to support community building efforts. • Able to commit to a year-long project and work on-site at the Lorong AI hub as required. • Flexibility to support evening or weekend events occasionally.
