You will be part of a team to perform and oversee a wide range of finance operations in MPA to ensure that financial accounting transactions and financial statements are in compliance with Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS), Government Instruction Manuals (IM), Financial Circulars (FC), Finance Circular Minutes (FCM, legislative requirements and organisation policies. You will also review and implement effective financial process and systems to enable accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance to SB-FRS, IM, FC and FCM. In addition, you will drive data analytics through application of analysis tools and techniques on financial information to assess financial implication and financial viability, as well as, take charge of projects such creation of dashboard using Tableaus and Fi@Gov and monthly financials.

[What you will be working on

Working in the Financial Accounting Department within Finance, Procurement & Admin Division, you will be responsible for the following:

• Perform finance and accounting functions, including but not restricted to Revenue and Receivable process, Procurement to Pay process, Financial Accounting as part of month end and year-end closing, Fixed Assets accounting and management reporting

• Analyse financial performance and detect anomalies and risk from the review of financial data

• Review audit schedules and assist in internal audits and annual statutory audit

• Review, formulate and administer quality service standards, finance related policies, guidelines, internal control, work procedures, accounting practices and system enhancement that is relevant and compliant with Government IM so as to ensure accurate and reliable information for reportin

• Attend to requests or enquiries from external and internal stakeholders

• Any other ad-hoc assignments
