What the role is

As a Senior Preschool Education Officer in the Schools Division, you will be part of the team to raise the quality of pre-school education in Singapore. You will work closely with the MOE Kindergarten (MK) educators, personnel from relevant MOE Headquarters (HQ) divisions and various stakeholders in the pre-school sector. The role involves supporting the development of curriculum resources and shaping and sharing of good practices to raise the quality of pre-school education, as well as guiding MKs in curriculum and programme development, implementation and evaluation.

What you will be working on

• Conceptualise and develop curriculum/ teaching and training/learning resources • Work closely with preschool educators to share and/or distill good practices for sharing with the sector • Monitor and support MKs in implementing the curriculum and programme effectively • Facilitate professional development activities with MK educators • Provide professional input to practices/policies based on early childhood knowledge and expertise • Lead in managing preschool-related projects and support research activities

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience working in the local preschool sector or experience in the education sector • Demonstrate strong understanding of the local preschool landscape and Nurturing Early Learners Framework or demonstrating strong understanding of development of curriculum/teaching and training/learning resources • Excellent analytical and communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently • Ability to lead and facilitate collaboration and engagement with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple projects In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
