What the role is

As a Lecturer, your contributions go beyond teaching and facilitating learning. You play a critical role in recognising and nurturing your students’ potential and their lifelong learning needs. You will develop curriculum and deliver training programmes based on current industry practices as well as assess students’ performance as individuals and as part of a team. In addition, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes in industry, and maintain strong linkages with industry and schools.

What you will be working on

You will develop, review and deliver pre-employment training and continuing education curriculum related to one or more of the expertise listed below:

• Change Management

• Customer Analytics and Journey Mapping

• Designing Thinking

• Contact Centre Technology and Operations

• Customer Relationship Management

You will:

• Initiate and lead industry collaborations and projects in the area of customer experience (CX)

• Participate in cross-functional projects and provide CX insights where relevant

• Deliver user centred design practices (including customer research and journey mapping) in curriculum and industry partnerships

• Develop curriculum programme on

• Online experience (UX/UI interface, web & data analytics, content creation); and/or

• Business Transformation and Change Management (organisation redesign, service design innovation)

• Design and facilitate industry training and workshop based on emerging trends and demands

• Plan, coordinate and implement related events, such as webinar, career fair and competitions.

• Undertake student development activities such as mentoring, service learning projects, competitions, workshops etc

• Assist the diploma team on general administration and academic affairs of the programme.
 

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in the fields of customer experience, eCommerce operations, business or relevant 
• Preferably with at least 2 years of client-fronting/facing experience
• Experience working in eCommerce/ retail/ banking/ hospitality industry is advantageous
• Experience in project management, organisation and planning skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with creativity and user empathy
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Strong conceptual thinking skills with an ability to problem solve and recommend solutions
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong interpersonal skills including experience in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations.
• Strong passion for teaching and motivating young and adult learners
• Training and development experience will be advantageous
