Internship
Closing in 1 day(s)
What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be attached to MSE’s Energy & Climate Policy Division (ECPD) to design and develop a proof of concept for a dashboard/ programme that can analyse and aggregate live data from a network of sensors in a pilot area and present it in an intuitive way to the user.
Background: Singapore is projected to face increasing temperatures with climate change, with average air temperatures projected to rise by up to 5 degrees by end century. MSE is working with other agencies on a pilot study to provide granular, localised information to the public that would help them make informed decisions to manage heat stress.
You will process/analyse data to verify the accuracy of different sensors, test feasibility of collecting and integrating data from the sensors and design a platform that is able to aggregate data from sensors to display live data to the public.
What we are looking for
- Good attitude to learn
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Experience in GIS/data analytics (e.g. ArcGIS) software
- Background knowledge in heat stress indices will be useful, but not mandatory
