What the role is

The Counsellor (UNESCO & Culture) plays a crucial role in advancing Singapore's interests on the international stage. In this position, you will be responsible for promoting Singapore's objectives in areas championed by UNESCO and fostering cultural relations with France and other relevant European countries. This role is based in Paris, France. The candidate will be required to spend a few months at MCCY HQ before the posting to France.

What you will be working on

As a Counsellor (UNESCO & Culture), you play a key role by: • Supporting the Permanent Delegate (PD) and Alternate PD in representing Singapore at UNESCO platforms • Identifying emerging issues and advising on strategies/responses in UNESCO-related matters • Attending and reporting on UNESCO meetings, particularly those concerning cultural conventions • Supporting Singapore's cultural exchanges and collaborations with France and other European countries • Engaging with arts and culture sector stakeholders to support Singapore's interests and agenda
