What the role is

Are you passionate about data analysis and statistical methods? Do you have a drive to improve data quality of large datasets? If so, we invite you to join our team as a intern in the Business Statistics Division, and apply your statistical knowledge and programming skills in enhancing the quality of short-term business indicators.

What you will be working on

As a intern in the Business Statistics Division: you will: - Research various statistical benchmarking methods to align high-frequency business indicators (e.g. quarterly data) with low-frequency benchmarks (i.e. annual data), including the best practices adopted by advanced National Statistical Organisations, - Perform data simulations using statistical programs (Python/R) and gain hands-on experience in statistical benchmarking using real data, and - Recommend suitable benchmarking methods to improve the data quality of short-term business indicators. By participating in this internship, you will gain valuable experience and skills that will be beneficial for your future career in data analysis, statistics and beyond.

What we are looking for

- Basic Programming Knowledge (Python/R) - Knowledge of SAS is beneficial - Preferred Discipline: Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics Availability: May - Jul 2025
