The Workplace Policy and Strategy Division (WPSD) in MOM develops policies covering a wide spectrum of issues to address the needs of the changing workforce and foster a more inclusive workplace.
The intern will be involved in research and data analysis efforts aimed at target-setting and formulating policy interventions to support (a) lower-wage workers to improve their wages and productivity; as well as (b) women and (c) caregivers to balance their work and family responsibilities.

What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Study the policy strategies of various countries, identify relevant learning points, and evaluate the feasibility of adopting these learning points in Singapore
2. Conduct data analysis to identify archetypes of women and caregivers in and out of the labour force, to support the development of targeted policy interventions
3. Communicate with different groups of stakeholders to develop sound policy strategies
What we are looking for
Mandatory:
1. Strong writing and communication skills
2. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
3. Data analytics and data interpretation skills
Preferred:
1. Advanced data manipulation and clustering skills, including use of Python and related libraries
