Public Spaces for Art Scheme:
Design a refreshed Scheme with partnership model, funding mechanics and framework, incorporating recommendations from the Public Art Masterplan.
Plan and manage the refreshed Scheme for artists and site owners to grow awareness for the scheme through open calls for:
New commissions at new sites
New public programmes for audiences and site owners
Manage the securing of agreements with site owners to active spaces under the Scheme, including contract agreements and partner management.
Source additional sites for the Scheme through advocacy efforts and stakeholder engagement such as workshops, sharing of public artworks and best practices.
Public Art Trails
Refresh the Public Art Trails to take on board new public art works and to align with the Public Art Masterplan recommendations and implementations
Work with site partners and vendors to design the public art trail guide.
Organise ad-hoc programming such as tours during key arts event like Singapore Art Week and conducting public art walks.
Public Art Commissions
Manage and monitor public art hoarding at art housing.
Review and manage the maintenance of existing commissions.
[What we are looking for]
Good University degree (preferably arts related)
Good knowledge of the Singapore Visual arts landscape is highly preferred.
Experience in business strategies and development would be an added advantage.
Possess strong written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage and maintain information management systems and follow procedures to guide work and track progress ensuring team and project goals and priorities are achieved.
Proven ability to negotiate, build sustainable relationships and work proactively with people at all levels to achieve project objectives.
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to maintain a professional approach at all times in often demanding and high-pressure situations with a proven ability of working with the community.
Proven ability to actively and collaboratively contribute to a high-performing team which delivers outstanding results, and to constantly seek ways to improve own contribution.
Proficiency in effectively using online systems as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
