What you will be working on

As a manager in Finance – Tax and Payout Reporting team, you would be performing various roles in the team to support the team’s mission in reporting taxes collected/refunded by IRAS as an agent of the government, as well as reporting of enterprise payout disbursed, offsets and recovered by IRAS as a Centre of Excellence of Enterprise Disbursements.

 Tax Administration

  • Manage tax reporting and cash accounting for government revenue.
  • Prepare financial reports and year-end statements.
  • Prepare the submission of returns to MOF according to AGD’s circulars.   
  • Prepare reports required for year-end closing of accounts in accordance to AGD’s Circular for FY closing arrangements.

Enterprise Disbursements

  • Perform reconciliation activities and monitoring of investment of trust funds.
  • Preparing annual financial statements for Trust Funds in compliance with relevant Trust Deeds.

Deployment of digital tools and automation

  • Monthly Power BI dashboard reporting on revenue collections and grant disbursements.
  • Develop Macro/RPA scripts to automate operational processes within the team to improve work productivity.  
  • Project involvement to review system requirements and perform user acceptance testing.

What we are looking for

  • Preferably a background in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Meticulous and an aptitude for figures
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and business acumen
  • Able to deploy new technology, analytics tools and dashboard to support job functions
