What you will be working on

As a manager in the Finance – Tax and Payout Reporting team, you will play a key role in driving IRAS’ finance digital transformation agenda, with a focus on modernising reporting systems, strengthening data-driven financial reporting, and enabling automation of finance processes. You will also support the team’s mission in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable reporting of taxes collected/refunded and enterprise payouts processed by IRAS as part of government financial operations.

Finance Digital Transformation

  • Support in-house finance system transformation to translate finance reporting, tax, and payout requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Enhance Power BI dashboard to support reporting on revenue collections and grant disbursements.
  • Deploy automation solutions (Macros/RPA) to improve work productivity and operational processes.
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) including test design, execution, issue resolution, and validation of financial data outputs and system readiness.

 
Finance Reporting

  • Support financial reporting activities related to tax reporting and cash accounting for government revenue.
  • Prepare financial reports, reconcillations, and year-end closing deliverables in accordance with MOF/AGD requirements.
  • Support preparation of annual financial statements for Trust Funds in compliance with relevant Trust Deeds.

What we are looking for

  • Preferably a background in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in financial reporting activities
  • Experience in system implementation projects, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Strong interest in digital transformation, data analytic, or finance systems
  • Ability to deploy new technologies, analytics tools, and dashboards to support work processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, business acumen and attention to detail
