What the role is
What you will be working on
• Responsible for data gathering and compilation of statistics in one or more specific fields
• Manage, analyse and make sense of large amounts of data from various sources, and optimising the processes.
• Lead and conduct statistical research and analysis, and derive insights from data to support policy-making
• Exploring new and alternative sources of data for integration to existing data sources, to enrich analysis and uncover new research avenues
• Develop new systems and indicators to support users' statistical requirements
What we are looking for
• Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following: Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Accountancy, Actuarial Science, or subjects with substantial quantitative content (e.g., regression, analytics, modelling, forecasting)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to learn and apply relevant statistical and analytical tools and techniques for data compilation and analysis
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Able to work well both independently and as a member of a team
