What the role is
Successful candidates will use data and analysis to influence critical decisions, shape organisational and sector strategy, and be exposed to national-level policy considerations
What you will be working on
Understand the social service landscape, including the mix of services and providers, how they are funded etc
Develop and implement data strategy to collect data from different stakeholders on programmes that may or may not be funded by Government
Analyse data on funded and unfunded programmes to form complete picture of the supply of services in the sector and their effectiveness
Identify emerging needs and opportunities
Collect and analyse signals from different sources on what are the emerging social issues
Validate signals and map service landscape
Assess significance of issue and NCSS’ comparative advantage in the initiating, developing, and/or funding of social services and providers
Dissemination of data to Government agencies and sector players
Establish regular exchanges with Government agencies on the data Services Group collected and analysed
Plan and organise sessions with selected social service agencies on Government’s plans, sector trends, and opportunities
Lead Services Group’s data initiatives
Coordinate of the efforts of the three divisions in the group, and with the central Digital and Data Strategy team of NCSS – from data infrastructure, to data collection, data requests, and data governance and stewardship
Support Services Group’s data needs for the purpose of service planning and programme reviews
