What the role is

As an MOM officer, you will get to work in a range of exciting areas to help the Ministry attain its goals, including manpower policy, industrial relations, workplace safety and foreign employment regulation. What the role is: The incumbent to this role will engage and collaborate with divisions/departments to provide advisory on budget related matters and to ensure that there is adequate funding to meet divisions/departments’ operational needs and at the same time optimise budget utilisation.

What you will be working on

What you will be working on: • Engage and collaborate with divisions/departments to provide advisory on budget related matters, such as fund requests and declaration of unutilised funds. • Report departments’ budget utilization and highlight key risk areas. • Provide inputs and recommendations on inter-agency collaborations, such as review of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) and funding models. • Study department’s budget plans and utilisation and conduct analysis to distil insights for more effective budget planning and management. • Review finance processes and policies, as well as fees and charges. • Support continuous innovation and improvement of the budget management processes.

What we are looking for

What we are looking for: • Domain knowledge in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration or Finance with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience will be advantageous • Experience in Government Agencies/ Public Organisations, with knowledge in Public Sector Financing and Governance will be helpful in this role • Possess critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills • Good interpersonal skills and able to engage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels • Good written, presentation and digital skills • Highly motivated with positive working attitude • Able to work independently and in a team • Inquisitive and possess a high sense of urgency
