NYP-Automation & Robotics Innovation Centre (ARiC) serves as a hub for System Integrators (SIs) and Equipment Manufacturers (EMs) to co-innovate Robotics and Automation (RnA) platforms and solutions, to test-bed innovative solutions, and to form strategic partnership, so as to deliver RnA solutions to the industry. The centre is expanding the technology team to support the acceleration of RnA adoption across industry sectors and provide technical trainings to our industry partners as well as to young adults.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Develop robotics and automation solutions with new and emerging technologies that contribute to preparing our learners for future work and strengthening industry’s capability.
• Collaborate with the industries, lead industry projects, and supervise learners in areas stated above.
• Develop and deliver teaching curricula, courses, and training programmes for Pre-Employment Training (PET) learners and Continuous Education Training (CET) learners.
• Perform mentoring role for our PET and CET learners.
• Plan and lead learners for overseas educational trips.
What we are looking for
The candidate should possess the relevant qualifications, skills, and at least 2 years of working experience: in one or more of the following areas:
- Industry IoT technology applications
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for robotics and automation
- Sustainable automation applications
- Engineering simulation and optimization
- Industry robot and/or COBOT programming
- IEC 61131-3 PLC programming
- Human machine interface (HMI) programming
- SCADA programming
- Mechatronics systems design using engineering design tools e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor
The candidate should also possess:
- Project development skills
- Project and/or operation management skills
- Good problem-solving skills

- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills
- Good team player
