The role of an academic is challenging and meaningful. Not only does he/she need to have domain knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them and molding their characters. The job offers opportunities for curriculum and pedagogical development, as well as industry engagements in the form of consultancy or applied research. Administrative work related to teaching and school/institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job. Successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful, innovative and articulate.
Lecturer (Architecture)
The appointee must be competent to teach in the following key areas of the Construction Industry Transformation Map (ITM) and architectural domains at diploma level:
• Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD), with a focus on Computational Design and A.I. applications
• Architectural Design
• History and Theory of Architecture
• Green Buildings Design
• Construction and Detailing
• Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA)
